BerDa

In Switzerland, anyone who is tested for HIV or any other sexually transmitted infection in a counselling and testing center (Voluntary Counselling and Testing Service, VCT) will most likely meet BerDa.

On the basis of a questionnaire, BerDa automatically draws up a risk profile of the test applicant. It proposes a structure for the counselling as well as a series of targeted and relevant recommendations on the basis of the person's sexual statements and behaviour. This provides the counsellor with useful information for discussion and thus ensures a high quality of counselling.

The new version of BerDa, BerDa 2019, takes into account new developments in the treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases thanks to a new platform for data collection, monitoring, analysis and visualization while meeting new safety standards (e.g. double authentication).
