Context

The rehabilitation process of patients with acquired brain injury caused, whether by traumatic brain injury, stroke, or neurological diseases is mainly guided by the subjective assessment performed by clinic specialists. The result is highly variable and can extend beyond hospitalization.

The objective of this project is to develop and evaluate a system coupling wearable sensors (e.g., inertial measurement units or IMU and an egocentric camera) and Machine learning algorithms to monitor and objectively assess the patients’ upper and lower limbs performance during activities of daily living (ADL) along their rehabilitation process.
